San Anton school a 'victim' of wall incident, head says
The management of San Anton School in Mgarr said it has been "seriously shaken" by the incident which led to the collapse of a school wall, probably as a result of strong winds.
The school engaged leading architects and engineering professionals to design and build the school's new wing, Dr John Gauci told Times of Malta.
On Thursday, the wall of a school hall still under construction collapsed on to an access road, flattening four cars and damaging others.
This morning, Dr Gauci said the school has always demanded that all processes and proceedings undertaken by all those involved in the building project be rigorously in line with best building practice, planning authority permits and all health and safety legislation.
From the start of the project, the school has followed the advice and direction of its architect and building contractor and contracted a reputable health and safety company, he said.
