Armenia`s Deputy FM receives UN Electoral Needs Assessment Mission delegation
ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan received a delegation of the UN Electoral Needs Assessment Mission.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Abisoghomonyan presented the electoral reform process implemented by the Armenian government, emphasizing that the organization of free, fair, and transparent elections remains among the government's key priorities.
The Deputy Foreign Minister highly praised Armenia's cooperation with the UN aimed at strengthening democratic governance and ensuring electoral processes. Abisoghomonyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to further developing an open and constructive partnership with the UN aimed at implementing more coordinated reforms, strengthening public trust in electoral processes, enhancing the institutional readiness of electoral bodies, and enhancing democratic resilience. The Armenian diplomat added that the UN Electoral Needs Assessment Mission's visit is a good opportunity to identify Armenia's priority needs, assess risks posed by hybrid threats, discuss international support for electoral reforms, and strengthen long-term institutional resilience.
