Armenia`s Interior Minister bids farewell to US Ambassador

ArmInfo.  On January 13, RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan received US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Kristina Kvien, who is concluding her diplomatic mission in the country.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' press service, Arpine Sargsyan highly praised the Ambassador's consistent efforts to develop Armenian-American relations, emphasizing that the Ambassador's contribution in this area is undeniable. The Minister noted that during Ambassador Kvien's tenure, bilateral relations have been elevated to a strategic level. Emphasizing the established and effective cooperation, the Minister pointed out that in recent years, thanks to joint efforts, several important reforms have been implemented at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Kristina Kvien  thanked the Minister and the Ministry team for their effective and constructive collaboration. The Ambassador praised the jointly implemented programs, as well as the active cooperation in addressing several crimes. Views were exchanged on the implementation of the TRIP project, the implementation of upcoming programs planned jointly with the Ministry, and other matters of mutual interest.
