Sunjay Kapur passes away at 53: Condolences pour in across social media

Sunjay Kapur, a businessman and Chairman of Sona Comstar, breathed his last on June 12 after he succumbed to heart attack. Sunjay, Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, was playing polo while passed away. Hours before his death, Sunjay had mourned the loss of lives aboard the Air India flight. The news of his demise was confirmed by author Suhel Seth. Suhel took to X to confirm the news. "Deeply saddened at the passing of Sunjay Kapur, he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues." The news left netizens shocked.

Naor Gilon, the former ambassador of Israel to India, too took to social media to share his thought. He shared a photo of with Sunjay and posted that he was "shocked and saddened to learn of the passing" of his "dear friend, Sunjay Kapur".

A few days back, on June 9, Sunjay Kapur took to X to share his thoughts on the uncertainty of life. He posted a quote that read, "Your time on Earth is limited. Leave the "what ifs" to the philosophers and instead dive headfirst into the "why nots."

As mentioned in media reports, Sunjay Kapur was playing polo at the Guards Polo Club in England when he succumbed to heart attack. The moment he faced discomfort, he urged the game to be stopped. Next, he fell to the ground.

Within minutes, social media exploded with messages and reactions from the netizens. One user posted, "this is very saddening and such a shock to see a successful young life fall." Next message on X read, " I don't know if it's befitting or tragic that he purportedly left for his heavenly abode while playing polo".
