Armenia submits its 6th proposal of peace agreement to Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. 'Following up Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan's public statement of November 18th to intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, the Armenian side submitted its 6th proposal of the Agreement to Azerbaijani side, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a post on X social network, formerly known as Twitter./pp
It said Armenia remains committed to concluding and signing a document on normalization of relations with Azerbaijan based on previously announced principles./pp
Pashinyan announced on November 18 that the three main principles of peace had been agreed upon with Azerbaijan during trilateral meetings (facilitated by European Council president Charles Michel) in Brussels./pp
He said one of these three principles is a mutual recognition of each other's territorial integrity based on the maps of the USSR General Staff./pp
The second principle is that the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, which was signed by all post-Soviet countries, should serve as political basis for the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border./pp
The next principle of the peace treaty is to unblock regional communications on the basis of sovereignty and jurisdiction of each side.-0-/p
