The Hyundai Venue has been around for quite some time and has been dominating the compact SUV segment for several years now.
The Hyundai recently got an update which has only made it better. Along with the new update also came the new version of the Venue – the N-Line which will excite enthusiasts. In the article, we talk about 10 things that we like about the Hyundai Venue and why it should be on your list if you are in the market for a new sub-4 meter SUV.
Design
Yes, looks can be subjective and not all might like the design of the Hyundai Venue. However, we have to date not come across people who have not liked its design. With the 2022 update, the Venue is more appealing and desirable. The new parametric grille on the front and the infinity tail light that wraps across the tailgate sure give the Venue a unique look. If you’re looking for something sporty, the N-line comes with plenty of red accents, red brake calipers, and some unique exclusive colors as well. The Thunder Blue and the Shadow Grey are something most people will find difficult to hate. Overall, the Venue has a mature design and will please most if not all.
Engine Options
When someone is buying a car, having various engine options proves to be a boon as one can choose exactly what suits their needs. With the dying diesel powertrain, the Venue is one of the few that still offers a diesel mill. For the petrol heads, there are two options, the 1.2L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.0L turbo.
Transmission Options
Well, a good engine is no good if not mated with a good transmission. The Venue gets not one, not two but three transmission options. Yes, a 7-speed DCT, a 5/6-speed manual, and a 6-speed iMT or intelligent manual transmission. For the uninitiated, iMT is a new technology that has a manual gearbox but no clutch for the driver. The comfort of an auto but the fun of a manual, that’s what the iMT is all about. The options are best explained in a tabular form. So here goes:

Connected Features
The Hyundai Venue is equipped with BlueLink which is Hyundai’s proprietary connectivity suite. It has 60+ connected features that will make life easy for the users. Remote start/stop, remote AC control, Geo-fencing, speed limiter are just a few to mention. The car also gets, call center support in case of a breakdown and immediate emergency services in case of an accident. Not only that, the Venue can keep enhancing its connectivity suite thanks to the OTA updates.
Embedded Voice Commands
The Venue is also loaded with embedded voice commands. Just hit a button and give the car one of the preset commands and the car will perform that task for you. Your very own little Jarvis in the car. Below is the list of commands that one can use.
Onboard Dashcam (N-Line Only)
The Venue also gets a dashcam which is a very important feature in terms of safety. Though it is limited only to the N-Line, the Venue N-line is the first car in the segment to even have this feature.
Driving Modes
The automatic variants of the Hyundai Venue get driving modes – Normal, Eco, and Sport. The dynamics, power delivery, steering feel, etc will change based on the mode you are in. The Venue is one of the few cars in the segment to get this feature.
Home to Car
A first in the segment and currently the only one to have this feature. Home to car basically will let you give your car commands while sitting at home. If you’re thinking you’ll have to use an app? Well, you wouldn’t be completely wrong as the same can be done. However, what’s unique to the Venue is that you can give the car commands using your existing voice assistant. Yes, Alexa or Google Home, whichever assistant you use to control devices at home can also control your car.
