Twitter reacts as Harry Kane's eight hour goal drought for Tottenham goes on
Tottenham finally secured their first win of the Premier League season with a hardfought 1-0 victory against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
However, Harry Kane's wait for a goal goes on.
The 22-year-old scored twice during the international break but he failed to carry the confidence that he would have gained for his efforts for England back to club level.
Mauricio Pochettino was keen for Kane to bring his form for the Three Lions into the north Londoners' front line but the striker came up short at the Stadium of Light.
Although Kane had several opportunities to break the deadlock the responsibility to do so ultimately fell to midfielder Ryan Mason, who slotted home past Costel Pantilimon late on.
The unflinching finishing ability that Kane exhibited in front ogf goal in England's top tier last season has stuttered.
While he ended moves with a ruthless efficiency last term, he has struggled to provide a finishing touch during the current campaign.
His afternoon was summed up when Nacer Chadli drifted a ball towards the back post and Kane peeled away from his marker only to produce an air shot that didn't threaten the Black Cats' goal.
Is a case of second season syndrome starting to set in? No goals from five games is anything but impressive.
Fans have had their say on the matter, but do they still have faith in Kane or are questions starting to be asked of the forward's ability? Is he now at risk of becoming a one season wonder?

Horrible air shot from Harry Kane. Starting to think he might not be the greatest striker the world has ever seen.
