Taylor Swift Shares Amazing #TBT Photo of Early Gig Amid Sell-Out Staples Center Concert Preparation

Moving up in the world! Taylor Swift might be prepping for her string of five sold-out gigs at Los Angeles' Staples Center which start tonight, Friday, Aug. 21 — but the "Shake It Off" singer hasn't forgotten where she came from.

Swift, 25, shared an amazing throwback photo on Thurdsay, Aug. 20, showing what her gigs used to look like, before she was a charttopping superstar — and it's pretty funny to see.

"Getting ready to play 5 shows at Staples Center in LA this week and reminiscing about what my gigs used to be like," Calvin Harris' girlfriend captioned the awesome snap, which shows her many years ago, taking center stage behind a simple "Taylor Swift" banner, while strumming on an accoustic guitar.

And rather than performing in a huge music venue (or, actually, in any venue at all!) Swift is doing what she does best on a makeshift wooden stage, on the edge of a river with a bridge as a backdrop!

Swift's L.A. gigs are sure to make headlines thanks to the singer's knack of unexpectedly bringing her band of celebrity BFFs up onto stage during her performances.

But while celebrity guest appearances are Swift's usual style, earlier this week, the blonde singer changed things up.

Appearing on stage in Glendale, Ariz., the "Bad Blood" singer gave a rare and very emotional performance of her song "Ronan," which she wrote based on a blog from Maya Thompson, the mother of a little boy named Ronan, who died of cancer at age 4.

Thompson, who's credited as a co-writer on the tune, was in the audience at Swift's show on Monday, Aug. 17, so the "Style" hitmaker took the opportunity to offer a special (and heartfelt) dedication.
