Georgia’s air company to resume operating flights between Yerevan and Tbilisi soon
The flights will be operated four times a week, one ticket prices will start from €55.
Regular air communication between Armenia and Georgia was ceased in 2011. Armavia, the then Armenian air company that operated regular flights between the two cities, explaining its decision, said this route was not profitable in winter season.
Airzena was established in September 1993. It initially served charter flights to the United Arab Emirates, Italy, China, Egypt, India, Syria and regular flights to Austria.
Airzena became Georgia’s national carrier in 1999.
In 2004, the air company was renamed Georgian Airways, but it is called Airzena also now as a brand.
Georgian Airways use Boeing 737 and CRJ liners for its flights. The company serves flights to 14 cities now. -0-----
