Lesson learnt from JNNURM, Modi orders “Radical Overhaul” of operational guielines

In a clear attempt to discredit the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and its achievements over the past decade, the Narendra Modi government said on Thursday it has “radically overhauled” the operational guidelines of the Smart Cities Mission, AMRUT and Housing for All Missions, based on the learnings of implementing JNNURM, a flagship UPA government programme, “that ended up in sub-optimal physical and financial performance.”
