Hospital stocks surge in wake of Obamacare ruling
Hospital stocks surged Thursday in the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling that upheld Obamacare subsidies for as many as 8 million people who use the program for insurance. Shares of HCA Holdings Inc. , Community Health Systems Inc. , Tenet Healthcare Corp. and Universal Health Services Inc. all surged 7% or more in recent action. HCA led the way with an 8% gain to $90.13 in recent action. Health insurers all were up as well, but not to the same degree as hospitals. Insurers climbed roughly 1% to 2% in recent action.
