New York prison corrections officer arrested in connection with breakout
New York State Police announced Wednesday that they have arrested a Clinton Correctional Facility officer in connection connected with the prison’s recent breakout.Officer Gene Palmer, 57, is charged with promoting prison contraband, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, and one count of official misconduct, according to a press release. The release said Palmer’s arrest is part of the investigation into the escape on June 6 of David Sweat and Richard Matt, who remain on the loose despite a massive manhunt.Read full article >>
