Bali earthquake LIVE updates: Indonesia hit by THREE more HUGE quakes — Lombok tremors

The magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Lombok around 3pm this afternoon just off the coast. It follows tragic events yesterday as a 6.9 magnitude quake hit the island.

At least 142 people were killed after the massive earthquake struck Lombok in Indonesia yesterday, sending people screaming into the streets as the powerful jolt destroyed hundreds of homes. Here is all the latest news and live updates on the earthquake.

The 6.9 magnitude tremor was fairly shallow, striking just 18 miles underground, which caused catastrophic damage to thousands of buildings and triggered power cuts.

About 1,000 tourists are being evacuated from the nearby Gili islands and more flights are being laid on to get them to home safety as quick as possible.

Video footage from Bali, to the west of Lombok where two were confirmed dead after tremors struck, showed people running from their homes screaming.

There have been more than 130 aftershocks since the quake hit on Sunday morning and a tsunami warning was also issued — although this was lifted after a few hours.

The huge quake comes just a week after another hit Lombok, which killed at least 16 people.
