Oakland police investigating fatal hit-and-run
The Oakland Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Sunday afternoon at the intersection of 85th and Railroad avenues in East Oakland.
Oakland police Officer John O’Reilly said a 49-year old man was working on his motor home shortly before 3 p.m. when a northbound driver in a white, full-sized sport utility vehicle fatally struck him but did not stop.
The incident remains under investigation, and Oakland police are asking anyone with information to contact the traffic investigation unit at (510) 777-8570.
