Turkey extradites woman suspected of large-scale fraud to Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz – A female citizen of Kazakhstan wanted for a series of frauds has been extradited from Turkey, the General Prosecutor’s Office reported.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in 2024 in Kyzylorda the woman received money from victims, promising to help them buy jewellery at a reduced price. Eight people were affected. The total damage is estimated at about 130 million tenge.
The suspect was detained in Turkey and extradited to Kazakhstan. She has now been placed in a pre-trial detention facility.
She is charged with fraud; the sanction provides for five to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
