Alison Hammond Addresses Ozempic Rumors After 150 Pound Weight Loss
Alison Hammond is opening up about her weight loss journey.
In a new interview, the 51-year-old British TV personality responded to speculation and “concern” after losing 150lbs as she addressed rumors that she used a weight loss drug to drop the weight.
Keep reading to find out more…“It makes me laugh when I see comments like ‘Alison is so skinny now’. I’m still overweight! I’m a size 20! I’m by far not at my ideal weight for my height,” Alison told The Daily Telegraph about her transformation in the wake of a pre-diabetes diagnosis. “But the main thing is my diabetes is now in the optimum range.”
“I like being bigger than everyone! I don’t want to take up less space in the world,” she added. “I want to fill that space.”
As for speculation that she used Ozempic or another weight loss drug to slim down, Alison said that she lost the weight naturally. The Great British Bake Off co-host, who weight over 390lbs at her heaviest, said that she has three different personal trainers and exercises several times a week.
Alison noted that she finds the idea of using weight loss drugs “frightening,” citing negative experiences. She also said that she doesn’t let other people’s opinions about her physical transformation affect her.
“Listen. People are going to assume anything,” Alison said. “They weren’t happy with me being big; they weren’t happy with me being small. I was one point away from being diabetic, and my mom was diabetic, so I’d seen what a struggle it was.”
“I literally needed to be able to walk up the stairs,” she added.
