On April 5, 2026, 50 Cent posted an Easter message on Instagram that most celebrities wouldn't share on any day of the year, let alone on a major holiday. The rapper, who is known for his bizarre feuds, shared a clip of Jada Pinkett Smith talking about her relationship with Will Smith, her longtime husband. He added a caption thanking god that he isn't in a similar relationship.
"Got Damn, Father God ???? thank you for not letting me get into no relationship like this. HAPPY EASTER God Bless!"
In the clip, Pinkett Smith explained that she eventually realized she needed to find her own happiness instead of relying on her husband. "Make yourself happy. It is not his responsibility to make you happy. He can't. It's impossible. But it took me forever. Hard-headed, stubborn, you know, because of that romantic idea. And that's why I talk about checking the boxes. It's like I did everything I was supposed to do. You get to have your dream. How come I'm not having mine? And that's because Will was doing what he wanted to do. He was making himself happy."

In less than 11 hours, 50 Cent's post racked up more than 113,500 likes, 3,300 shares, and 11,000 comments. Unsurprisingly, many of the comments joined in with the rapper by calling out the famous couple, with several of them asking whether Pinkett Smith ever speaks positively about Smith. However, many of the comments pushed back, arguing that the comments made in the video that 50 Cent shared had merit.
In response to the idea that people shouldn't depend on their partner for happiness, one commenter wrote: "Nothing wrong with what she is saying, but you all are listening with preconceived notions of their dynamic..So not surprised by the comments????."
Another response argued that Pinkett Smith's realization was healthy. "It sounds like she’s saying it’s not a man’s job to 'make' a woman happy, and that it’s each person's job in a relationship to be responsible for their own happiness. which is actually a good thing." Comments like those and the many other similar responses to the post showed that not everyone sided with 50 Cent and against the couple.
