Where is TPC Sawgrass?
The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1980. It is best known for its par-3 17th hole, the iconic Island Green, where a tiny putting surface surrounded entirely by water has ended countless rounds and launched just as many memorable moments. The course hosts the Players Championship every March, drawing the strongest field in golf outside of the four majors. With a purse of $25 million and a winner's share of $4.5 million, it is also the richest regular-season event on tour.

Ludvig Åberg leads at 13 under par, three shots clear of the field after rounds of 69, 63, and 71. The 26-year-old Swede, who lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, is playing a literal home game this week. Amateur Michael Thorbjornsen sits alone in second at 10 under after a remarkable 65 on Saturday. Cameron Young is third at 9 under.
A logjam of six players sit at 8 under heading into Sunday — Matt Fitzpatrick, Brian Harman, Viktor Hovland, Justin Thomas, Corey Conners, and Xander Schauffele all have a shot at making a run. Robert MacIntyre rounds out the top 10 at 7 under.
Åberg enters Sunday as the heavy favorite at -155. Thomas, who shot back-to-back 79s at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week, is among the most compelling storylines at +2700.
