David Duchovny to Star Opposite Daughter West Duchovny in New Satirical Comedy Movie He Co-Wrote!
David Duchovny is making a new movie with his daughter West!
The 65-year-old actor will lead the cast of the upcoming satirical comedy movie Soapbox, which he co-wrote with Max Barbakow.
David will play “an aging soap opera star who finds himself caught in the absurdities of today’s culture wars,” according to Deadline.
West, 26, has joined the supporting cast alongside Laverne Cox, Randall Park, Jimmi Simpson, and Jennifer Grey. The movie will be directed by Andrew Jay Cohen, who previously wrote and directed the movie The House, plus wrote Neighbors and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
This will mark David and West‘s first major project together. She previously appeared in an episode of his show The X-Files and she’s best known for roles in Hulu’s Saint X and Netflix’s Painkiller.
David shares West with his ex-wife Tea Leoni. He recently confirmed his current marriage, months after the wedding took place.
