Thousands Gather at Kansas State Capitol for March for Life
Thousands of Kansans gathered in Topeka on Wednesday, January 28, for the 2026 Kansas March & Rally for Life, marking one of the largest crowds in recent years.
Attendees marched from the Topeka Performing Arts Center to the south steps of the Kansas State Capitol, where a strong showing of young people stood alongside longtime advocates. Nearly 1,900 students in grades 7-12, representing 25 schools from across Kansas, participated in the event.
Inside the Capitol, attendees visited pregnancy resource centers and life-affirming organizations tabling on the second floor. On the first floor, Kansans for Life hosted its Aftermath display, honoring the 19,811 lives lost to abortion in Kansas in 2024.

Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson and Attorney General Kris Kobach addressed the crowd, joined by pro-life legislators standing in support of the 2026 pro-life legislative agenda.
Kansans for Life is grateful to everyone who attended and to the volunteers who helped make the day possible.
