There has been no official promo material for the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
However, recently, there has been a blurb circulating the Internet that has been labeled a “synopsis” of the film by some fans!
You may be wondering where that came from. Well, a book listing for Penguin Random House’s “The Art of the Movie” has a blurb attached. The book won’t be released until August 4, 2026.

That blurb is what is circulating online! Neither Sony Pictures nor Marvel has confirmed an official movie synopsis.
But, here’s what the book listing says: “Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game keeping New York City safe. Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before. The movie, which wrapped filming late last year, will see the return of Tom Holland and Zendaya, as well as new stars like Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, and Liza Colón-Zayas. The film hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
