Building on the exciting momentum since its launch in 2024, Shimano Trail Born is set to fund 19 new projects in 2026. These initiatives will reach into new countries and continents, all while continuing to support trail networks that inspire riders and bring communities together around the world.
What Is Trail Born?
This program, launched as a 10-year, $10 million commitment, aims to enrich the mountain biking experience by investing in trail infrastructure, advocacy groups, and the dedicated people who care for these treasured spaces. The program supports projects that not only expand and sustain trail networks but also help revitalize the communities surrounding them.

Since breaking ground in August 2024, Trail Born has made significant strides in advancing mountain biking infrastructure worldwide. The initiative has supported 18 trail projects globally, helping to fund 78 kilometers (48.5 miles) of trail and contributing to the construction of a 15,000 square foot pump track.
These projects span across North America, Europe, South Africa, and Oceania, demonstrating the program's international reach and commitment to developing cycling communities worldwide. Looking ahead, SHIMANO Trail Born has funded several projects set to open in Spring 2026, further increasing the total trail mileage available to riders.
