Social scene: 5 Marin leaders inducted into Marin Women’s Hall of Fame
YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley raised $46,000 at its YWCA Marin Women’s Hall of Fame class of 2026 induction ceremony on Jan. 28. The event took place at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon and was attended by 300 people, including Marin inductees Loulie H. Sutro, president emerita of Marin Villages; Nancy Johnson, board chair of the Marin City Health and Wellness Center; Lynn Murphy, San Rafael Police Department’s mental health liaison; Virginia Schultz, president of the Friends of the Marin County Free Library; and Nancy Thelen Rehkopf, a member of Marin Ballet’s board of trustees.
“We’re honored to welcome this year’s five outstanding inductees into the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame. Their achievements — in public service, advocacy, education, the arts and beyond — reflect the very heart of our organization’s mission and furthermore, have helped shape our community,” said YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley CEO Adriana Caldera Boroffice in a press release.
