650,000 Pounds of Tater Tots Recalled
The FDA has issued a recall of tater tots in more than 24 states because they may be contaminated with pieces of hard plastic.
Large-scale distributors of tater tots form McCain Foods in Idaho that provide food to food service clients were affected, but not smaller amounts for sale at retail stores, according to the FDA notice.
If you work in the food service industry, check your industrial-size freezers for McCain Foods tater tots. Brands affected include Ore-ida Tater Tots and Sonic Tots.

The FDA reported these states received the problematic tots: Alaska, Arkansas, Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
