'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' Star Colin Mochrie Suffers 'Medical Situation,' Undergoes Emergency Surgery
Colin Mochrie has been forced to postpone several dates on his comedy tour due to a “medical situation.”
On Friday (January 2), it was revealed the 68-year-old comedian and Whose Line Is It Anyway? star had to undergo emergency surgery for a serious eye condition.
Colin‘s health crisis was shared in a statement shared on Instagram by his tour partner Asad Mecci and the account for their hypnosis and improv comedy show HyProv.
Keep reading to find out more…“We regret to inform you that our upcoming shows will be postponed due to a medical situation involving Colin Mochrie,” the statement began. “Colin has been diagnosed with a detached retina and will be undergoing emergency eye surgery today. His medical team is optimistic about his full recovery, but he needs time to rest and heal.”
“We understand this news is disappointing for those who were looking forward to the performances, and we truly appreciate your understanding,” the statement continued. “We are currently working on rescheduling the shows, and all tickets will be honored for the new dates. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled performances, we will provide information on how to request a refund.”
The statement concluded, “Colin is incredibly grateful for your support and well wishes. He forward to being back on stage and sharing many more laughs with all of you in the near future. Thank you for understanding.”
