Serie A: Inter vs. Bologna – Probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Inter host Bologna in a rematch of the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final in Serie A on Sunday evening, and Cristian Chivu’s side are in need of victory if they wish to climb back to the top of the league table.
Inter sit in second place on 36 points ahead of kick-off, having played one game less than their city rivals Milan, who beat Cagliari 1-0 on Friday to temporarily lift themselves into first place.
The Nerazzurri are tasked with a visit from Bologna, who beat them on penalties in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana just before Christmas.
Inter have bounced back with a 1-0 win away against Atalanta since then, and pre-match reports suggest that Chivu will stick with the same back three of Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni.
Sky Sport Italia suggests that it will be the familiar midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Bologna, as well as the first-choice strike partnership of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
Bologna might be inclined to stick with a similar line-up to the one that beat Inter a fortnight ago. Of that team that started in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana, Federico Bernardeschi is unavailable through injury, while Nikola Moro could come out of the side to be replaced by Lewis Ferguson.
Kick-off on Sunday is due at 19.45 GMT.
