Legendary Action Movie Rated ‘Certified Fresh’ Is Leaving Netflix
As always, Netflix will be making changes to its streaming library throughout 2026. The service has already added and subtracted dozens of titles to begin January, with more alterations coming the rest of the month.
Come February, Netflix will be removing one of the most iconic action films of all-time, The Terminator (1984), which helped catapult Arnold Schwarzenegger's career into a new stratosphere and remains an audience favorite more than 40 years later.
'The Terminator' will leave Netflix next month
According to What's On Netflix's Kasey Moore, The Terminator is one of more than 20 movies departing Netflix on Feb. 1, 2026. Other prominent titles leaving on that day include The Patriot, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, What Lies Beneath and Charlie's Angels.
That gives Netflix users a little over four weeks to enjoy Schwarzenegger's portrayal of a time-traveling assassin (from 2029!), sent to assassinate Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), who is protected by protagonist Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn).
