Virat Kohli scripted history in List A cricket
On the cricketing side, Kohli has been in an impressive form in ODIs following his retirement from T20Is and Test cricket. The 37-year-old made a comeback to India’s premier domestic one-day competition after 15 years and immediately made his presence felt, smashing 131 and 77 in consecutive innings. These performances showcased both his exceptional skill and his enduring drive to compete at the top level.
Kohli also created history in List A cricket, becoming the fastest player to reach 16,000 runs and surpassing the long-standing record held by Sachin Tendulkar.
Kohli’s domestic resurgence follows an outstanding ODI series against South Africa, where he scored two centuries and a fifty to guide India to a 2-1 series win. The Men in Blue is scheduled to arrive in Vadodara on January 8 ahead of their upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The three-match series will begin in Vadodara on January 11, followed by matches in Rajkot on January 14 and Indore on January 18, and will be followed by a five-match T20I series running from January 21 to January 31.
