MLB Pitcher's Wife Accuses Him of ‘Affairs’ and ‘Abuse’
A veteran MLB pitcher is facing allegations of infidelity and abuse from his wife.
On Friday night, Caroline Hjelle, the wife of San Francisco Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle, posted a video on TikTok alongside the couple's two young sons. In the clip, Lorde’s “Man of the Year," which is a song referencing cheating, plays.
"When my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after this once I finally found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse so I’ve been raising two boys alone,” Hjelle wrote in the video.
She also added the message "Yeah I’ve had to be silent for too long about this," in the caption of the post.
As of Saturday afternoon, Caroline Hjelle's video has garnered more than four million views, over 265,000 likes and 3,000 comments.

The 6-foot-11 Hjelle, a relief pitcher, is the tallest player in Major League Baseball. He was a second-round pick of the Giants out of the University of Kentucky in 2018 and made his debut with the club in 2018.
“We are aware of these serious allegations,” a Giants spokesperson said in a statement, via the New York Post. “We have been in contact with MLB. These type of allegations fall under their jurisdiction and we won’t be commenting further.”
Hjelle has not commented on the allegations as of this afternoon. He was in the clubhouse before today's game against the Boston Red Sox but did not speak to reporters, per the San Francisco Chronicle.
The Giants did say that Hjelle would be available to pitch if needed. He pitched one inning in Friday night's 7-5 loss to Boston, earning the loss by surrendering a solo home run to Ceddane Rafaela.
Hjelle is 1-1 with a 4.66 ERA in six appearances this season.
