"As the future king, I think William has the first refusal. If they want it, they get it."

Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi, hosts of Us Weekly's Royally Us podcast, talked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's upcoming book and show on the streaming giant Netflix. There were reports that the contents of the book and docuseries have inconsistencies.There's a lot of conversations about consistency and stories. This is going to be especially with that Netflix docuseries coming up, the book coming up, all the recent interviews that Meghan has been doing," Ross said, Express reported.
"People are going to start either connecting the dots and everything's going to be consistent or they're going to start finding holes," she continued. "I think there's a big microscope on Meghan and Harry right now, so I'm hopeful that they could have gotten their story together."
Garibaldi agreed with her co-host. She believed that the projects "could be a make or break situation" for the royal couple.
"Definitely, I feel like this could be a make or break situation for the two of them depending on how well the public receives the book, how well people receive this Netflix documentary," Garibaldi said.

Did Prince Harry Contradict Meghan Markle's Words In His Memoir?
In October, there were reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to push back both his memoir and their Netflix docuseries. They reportedly wanted to alter the content and make it more friendly to the royals.
However, an insider claimed that the filmmakers were confused because there were conflicting statements from the couple.
"A lot in the show contradicted what Harry has written, so that was an issue," an anonymous senior Netflix source told Page Six. "Then Harry and Meghan made significant requests [to filmmakers] to walk back content they themselves have provided for their own project."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly wanted to stall the docuseries until next year. However, another insider claimed that the streaming giant wanted to push the project later this year as they wanted it to tie with The Crown.
So, the Sussexes reportedly have to edit the content on their end because it will also take weeks for Netflix to edit the content and translate them into several languages.
"Netflix needs a couple of months to do all of the formatting and dubbing, subtitling and audio — all of that stuff that enables it to launch on the platform," the source from Netflix added.

King Charles could do the worst thing — cut ties with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, depending on the contents of his memoir, according to a royal expert. The Duke of Sussex's memoir titled Spare will be out early next year.
King Charles Has Plans If Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Go Fully Rogue?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have two major projects on the way — their Netflix docuseries and Prince Harry's memoir. However, there are concerns that the contents of both projects will sever their ties with the royal family.
British journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower weighed in on the issue. For him, Prince Harry's memoir could "make or break" his relationship with the royals.
"This book is really make or break. I imagine that King Charles has been warned that any retaliation won't be pretty," Bower told The Sun.
He also shared what awaits the Sussexes. According to him, Prince Harry and Markle could lose their royal titles and their children might not be given their HRH and royal titles.
"All that King Charles can really do is to withhold the titles for his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet. Ultimately, I suppose, he could take away Harry and Meghan's titles as well, but that's pretty drastic."
Aside from the titles, if things are worst, then the royals may cut ties with the Sussexes, Bower claims.
"I don't know what else he can do. If it is as bad as I think it is, then Harry and Meghan have gone fully rogue," he continued. "The best the family can do is to break ties with them."
What To Expect In Prince Harry's Book That's Coming Ahead Of King Charles' Coronation?
Last week, Penguin Random House announced that Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, will be out on Jan. 10, 2023, months before King Charles' coronation on May 6. The title raised several eyebrows as many were convinced it referred to his position in the monarchy.
Prince Harry was dubbed the "spare" growing up. He was the "spare" to his older brother Prince William, who is the future heir to the throne.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe, a former royal editor at The Sun, said the word "spare" was derogatory. He also speculated that the book would contain his struggles growing up in Prince William's shadow.

"The spare to the heir is someone who is not as important and as worthy as their older sibling," the author of the book Prince Harry: The Inside Story told Fox News Digital. "And that's certainly something that hasn't been a very easy role historically for Prince Harry but also Prince Andrew, Charles's brother, and of course, Princess Margaret, the queen's sister. So it kind of looks very clearly that Harry's intent on taking a kind of victim position, because he's giving the [title] a derogatory term, and presumably what will follow is a book about how hard it was being born in his brother's shadow."

Meghan Markle graced the cover of Variety magazine. However, some of the things she said raised eyebrows, with one royal expert seemingly mocking her for the way she characterized herself.
Meghan Markle Lacks Self-Awareness, Royal Expert Claims
The Duchess of Sussex was featured on the cover of Variety as one of the honorees of the 2022 class of Variety's Power of Women for her philanthropic and creative works, including her podcast, Archetypes. Markle was asked for a piece of advice she would give to an actor who will be cast to play as her 100 years from now.
"I hope that in preparing for that role, she finds the softness and the playfulness and the laughter. The silliness," Markle replied. "I just hope she finds the dimensions. Also, she can call me!"
However, royal correspondent Jonathan Sacerdoti, whose credits include BBC, Sky News and Fox News, seemed to disagree with Markle's response.
"One of the funniest bits is where she was asked if an actor was playing her and 100 years time, what she hoped they focus on and she said softness and playfulness and laughter," he told Express.co.uk.
"None of those are words that one has heard used that often in describing Meghan Markle."
The expert added that based on Markle's response, there seems to be a "staggering lack of self-awareness" He pointed out that Prince Harry's wife seemed unaware of how she is seen and what her story is, which has been followed by the public.
"It's not softness and love. It's scandal, the risk of more explosive allegations and her possibly very negative impact on the Royal Family. The rest isn't really of interest to many people," Sacerdoti continued.
