San Francisco shows increase in COVID-19 cases Sunday
Coronavirus cases continued to climb in the Bay Area over the weekend, according to new updates posted on Sunday by local officials.
San Francisco now has 1,408 coronavirus cases, up 35 cases from the prior reporting date, or a 2.5 percent increase in the number of cases, according to San Francisco’s COVID-19 website.
The number of deaths in San Francisco remained at 22, unchanged from Wednesday.
The number of Bay Area COVID-19 deaths is 261.
By multiple metrics, the number of newly reported cases in the Bay Area appears to have slowed drastically in recent weeks.
