Although it's gone in and out of stock for the past couple of weeks, you can still get one delivered in time if you act right now.
Amazon has both the gray and multi-color Joy-Con versions available, and if you have Amazon Prime, it will be delivered in time.
The Switch is one of the hottest gadgets of 2017, selling almost as many units as its predecessor, the Wii U, sold in its entire lifetime. Its success is due in part to the console's hybrid nature — you can play it at home, hooked up to a TV, or when you're on the go — but it mostly comes down to having a whole lot of great games.
I've had the Switch since launch, and it's the console I reach for first when I've got time to play some games. It's not the most powerful console, nor does it have the biggest library (yet), but any gamer would be happy to get one this holiday.
Amazon is the only place you can get a Switch by ordering online, but I would also check Target, Walmart, and Best Buy, in case a local store has one in stock. If that's the case, choose in-store pickup and you can get a Switch even sooner.
