Merry Christmas, WWE Universe! ‘Raw’ and ‘SmackDown’ to Air First Hour Commercial-Free
Dreaming of a White Christmas? Would you settle for WWE “Raw” and “SmackDown Live” to go commercial-free for their first 60 minutes?
WWE and USA Network have agreed to do exactly that, with their Monday and Tuesday flagship shows running interrupted through Hour 1 next week. Not a bad gift from Vince McMahon to the WWE Universe — hell, we’ve received worse.
This stocking stuffer marks the first time since 2009 that the top pro-wrestling promotion and the most-watched basic cable channel have pulled such a stunt. Monday will also mark the first time that USA will air “Raw” live on Christmas — that part was previously announced, however.
