Police have 'person of interest' in fire that killed 2
GRISWOLD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut State Police said Thursday that they have a "person of interest" in connection with a Griswold house fire that left two people dead.
Officials also say they believe the early Wednesday blaze is connected to a car fire in the nearby town of Glastonbury.
Firefighters who responded to the blaze at Kenwood Estates in Griswold found one person dead. A second body was discovered Wednesday evening. Autopsies will be conducted, and the identities of the people found in the home have not been released.
State police said detectives investigating the fire came across the person of interest, but authorities provided no other details and did not say if that person was in custody.
