CELTIC legend and ex-Manchester United striker Henrik Larsson has quit his role as Helsingborgs manager.
The Hoops hero returned to the Swedish club just two months ago but has left his post over the alleged level of “verbal insults” he received.
The Swedish club have confirmed the ex-Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United striker’s exit.
He only re-joined the club in June to take over as gaffer but it has ended badly for the 47-year-old.
Larsson and his son Jordan were involved in an on-pitch altercation with fans as his first spell in charge concluded with the club suffering relegation.
And now, just eight games into his return, the Hoops legend has resigned.
Helsingborgs chairman Krister Azelius has announced the club will investigate the circumstances leading to Larsson’s departure.
He said: “It is extremely sad that it should be this way. We take a serious look at the insults and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

“Everyone who works in Helsingborgs IF always does the best for the club. The assignment Henrik was given was to keep the team in the Allsvenskan.
“When he took over the team sat in the negative qualifying spot and right now we are in 12th place and two points above the negative qualifying place.
“Based on where we stand now, he has completed the assignment.”
