ATLETICO MADRID are said to be preparing a £30 million bid for Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier, amid rival interest from Napoli.
Spurs fans are ready to wave goodbye to the right-back with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly pondering doing the same.
Napoli were the initial favourites to sign Trippier although Carlo Ancelotti’s side are fearful of being priced out of a deal.
Reports suggest Spurs want around £40 million for the player, which is some way off Napoli’s opening bid of £17 million.
One club who may be able to bridge that gap is Atletico, who Daily Mirror believe are highly interested in the England international.
JUAN MAN GONE
The departure of veteran defender Juanfran and Sime Vrsaljko’s long-term injury, sustained on loan at Inter Milan, will create a gap in Diego Simeone’s squad.
Tripper’s future in North London is yet to be decided and a solution won’t be found until after the Champions League final.
