Peyton Manning's 13-year-old nephew dominated in a varsity spring game

The Manning legacy continues to grow.
Arch Manning, son of Cooper Manning, played in his varsity debut at Newman High School during the team’s spring game this weekend. Manning, already 6-foot-1 at 13 years old, had an impressive day with three touchdowns. During the scrimmage, the young quarterback made a handful of impressive throws, hitting a receiver in-stride with a deep ball and sneaking another throw over the head of a defensive back for a contested catch. Here’s a look at the highlights from the game.
The Manning family may be one of the NFL’s most accomplished and influential. Arch’s uncles Peyton and Eli each have Super Bowl wins. His father, Cooper, was an impressive receiver before a spinal stenosis diagnosis derailed his career in high school. Arch’s grandfather, Achie Manning was a two-time Pro Bowler during his 13-season career.
It’s way too soon to say whether Arch can follow in the footsteps of the many successful quarterbacks in his family. Then again, it would be shocking if this Manning didn’t end up the starting quarterback at a power-conference team in college. He’ll certainly get every opportunity to do so, and, according to 247 Sports, is already drawing interesting from Ole Miss, where Eli and Archie went, and Tennessee, where Peyton attended.
