Switching problems cause major delays at BART Richmond station
Crews were working to fix a switching problem that caused major delays Tuesday afternoon for BART riders heading to and from Richmond, officials said. The delays, running over 20 minutes, began about 2 p.m. after a switching problem caused trains to slow down, said Alicia Trost, a BART spokeswoman. “It’s a train control issue that involves the components that trains use to switch over from one side of the tracks to the next,” Trost said.
