49ers sign ex-Dolphin DT to four-year deal
The 49ers have agreed to terms on a four-year deal with former Dolphins defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, according to a league source.
The signing is the first significant one for new general manager John Lynch and first-year head coach Kyle Shanahan.
In 100 career games, Mitchell — considered more of a run-stopper than a pass rusher — has 5.5 sacks.
