Embattled ex-Cal coach Yann Hufnagel lands at Nevada
Nevada announced the hiring of Hufnagel, along with former LSU assistant Ronald Dupree, in a news release Friday afternoon.
Hufnagel had been on paid leave since the university’s decision to oust him in March after an investigation determined he had sexually harassed a female reporter in 2014 and 2015.
Last week, Nevada beat Morehead State in a three-game series for the College Basketball Invitational title.
“I met Yann nearly a decade ago and his track record as an assistant at three high caliber academic institutions speaks for itself,” Nevada head coach Eric Musselman said in a news release.
