CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — U.S. District Judge Leonard Wexler, who oversaw high-profile cases involving New York public officials during three decades on the bench, has died. He was 93. Wexler, who was based in Central Islip, died on Saturday, according to his son, William Wexler, a North Babylon, New York attorney. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The state of Missouri has paid out nearly $600,000 to a female corrections officer to settle another sexual harassment lawsuit. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Monday cited a report issued by the Missouri attorney general's office showing that Michelle Findley received a check for $294,500 in February, and her attorney was paid $291,443. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A judge has ruled Meek Mill should remain behind bars while appealing a prison sentence for violating probation, saying the rapper's drug use, arrests and other issues while under supervision merited the jail time. Judge Genece Brinkley turned down Mill's bid for release on bail in a ruling late Thursday while he appeals the 2- to 4-year sentence she issued for what she said was his fifth probation violation. JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Gov. Bill Walker wants to spend $9.5 million for a centralized statewide 911 dispatch system.
