In a news release, the Illinois Department of Public Health would not reveal the identity of the person or any details about the person's death. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched to a home near Las Vegas and Charleston Boulevards around 3 a.m. Sunday. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Authorities say a deputy has been shot and a vehicle burglary suspect killed during an exchange of gunfire in Louisiana. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said in a statement that the deputy was shot after a chase early Sunday morning. SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a man is facing charges including driving while impaired by drugs following a multi-vehicle crash that killed a woman and injured several people. Authorities say the 37-year-old resident of Mastic, New York, was driving a pickup truck on the Long Island Expressway in Shirley, New York, around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The truck hit a minivan, then crossed the median where it hit a motorcycle and then another minivan. WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — Police say three people in a pickup truck were injured when a man under the influence of alcohol drove the vehicle into a porch in West Ocean City. The Daily Times of Salisbury reports Maryland State Police responded to the crash Saturday afternoon. Police said when troopers interviewed the driver, 24-year-old Juan Gabriel Caraballo, they smelled alcohol.
