(AP) — Wisconsin Assembly members and employees will have to attend mandatory sexual harassment training every two years under a resolution the chamber overwhelmingly adopted Tuesday, the same day a lawmaker accused of sexual misconduct returned to the chamber. PHOENIX (AP) — A Phoenix woman is facing charges after police say she repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend in a Phoenix apartment they shared. Phoenix police say 23-year-old Zynia Chapman attacked her boyfriend just before midnight Saturday. She then cut her own neck, but her injuries were not life-threatening. Police found her the next morning on a freeway overpass. According to court documents, she detailed a plan to kill her 25-year-old boyfriend and then herself in a journal entry last week. HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The U.S. Marshals service is increasing its reward from $1,500 to up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of an inmate who escaped from a Connecticut state prison. Twenty-five-year-old Jerry Mercado escaped from the Carl Robinson Correctional Facility in Enfield on January 7th. Mercado was sentenced in August 2016 to three years for burglary. BEND, Ore. (AP) — A small private plane carrying six people slid off a runway Tuesday while trying to land in central Oregon. Gary Judd, manager of the Bend Municipal Airport, told The Bulletin newspaper that nobody was injured and the Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 does not appear to be damaged. Judd said the plane skidded at the end of the runway and went about 10 yards into a dirt bank. ARAPAHO, Okla. (AP) — A Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to killing two people as he drunkenly shot at vehicles while driving along a freeway in Oklahoma. Custer County District Attorney Angela Marsee says 38-year-old Jeremy Doss Hardy of Pasadena pleaded guilty Tuesday shortly before jury selection was to begin for his trial on two counts of first-degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and other offenses. SEATTLE (AP) — The family of an unarmed 20-year-old man who was shot to death by a deputy has filed a federal lawsuit against the King County sheriff's office. Deputy Cesar Molina shot Tommy Le last June while responding to reports that Le was threatening people with a knife, prompting one homeowner to fire a shot to try to scare him off.
