Bay Area train accidents leave 1 dead, 1 injured
An Amtrak train hit and killed a person early Wednesday morning in Richmond, the first of three collisions involving trains in the Bay Area over a six-hour period. Also on Wednesday morning, a 33-year-old man in Emeryville survived being struck by a different Amtrak train while a vehicle in Burlingame was crushed by a Caltrain, officials said.
