Giants’ Posey leaves home opener after being beaned UPDATE, 1:50 p.m. Giants catcher Buster Posey has left the home opener in the first inning after being hit in the helmet by a 94-mph fastball from the Diamondbacks starter Taijuan Walker. Posey was batting with two outs and Denard Span on third base, when Posey was hit with the 0-1 pitch. Posey hit the dirt immeditely but quickly sat up, looking dazed.
