President David Rowe, in a news release Wednesday, said the man wanted to remain anonymous. WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) — Police are investigating after a 34-year-old woman was stabbed in Woonsocket. It happened around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday on West School Street. Police say the woman was stabbed in the stomach. She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where she's in stable condition. Police say those involved in the incident are being questioned by detectives. Authorities are investigating.

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Jackson County authorities are looking for a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman who had been hiking near Union Creek. The Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1OebKeN ) that the woman told police she was attacked on Saturday on the Natural Bridge Trail. The sheriff's department says the victim had been able to escape and called police.
