(AP) — Gov. Rick Snyder signed an executive order to create a new education commission charged with analyzing top performing schools and recommending changes to the state's education system. Snyder's office has announced the 25-member 21st Century Education Commission Monday, after mentioning the plan in his January State of the State Address.

Oculus founder Palmer Luckey hand-delivered the first Rift to software developer Ross Martin in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday, kicking off a new era in virtual reality by putting the most powerful VR device yet into a consumer's hands. (AP) — An Indiana man drank whiskey with the uncle of a 1-year-old girl and then waited until the family fell asleep before abducting, raping and killing the toddler, prosecutors said Monday in court documents. (AP) — The special prosecutor tasked with investigating legislative corruption has been removed from the case, with the state attorney general's office citing an "obvious abuse of power."
