BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says the terror attacks in Paris would have been "a much, much different situation" had the victims been armed with guns. French officials say more than 120 people are dead and hundreds more injured after the series of coordinated bombings and shootings.

School at-risk coordinator JoAnne Gemar says school might be the only stable environment some of these children see each day. Donations can be dropped off through Nov. 22 at any of the Twin Falls School District's seven elementary schools or the district office.

On Friday, Gov. Bobby Jindal and other officials held the groundbreaking ceremony for the $22.4 million Water Institute of the Gulf Research and Conference Center. (AP) — A group of Lafayette High School French immersion students and two faculty members scheduled to depart for Paris Saturday have cancelled their trip in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris. Lafayette High School Principal Donald Thornton said school officials were working on scheduling flights home from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkish soldiers on Saturday killed four suspected Islamic State militants in a clash near the border with Syria, the country's state-run agency reported, as world leaders began to gather for an economic summit. The Anadolu Agency said two cars believed to be carrying IS militants approached an armored military vehicle, ignored warnings to stop and opened fire on the soldiers.

Officials at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center announced this past week that beginning in January they will display the handwritten amendment that abolished slavery and involuntary servitude.
