Oakland murder conviction upheld on testimony by accomplice, informant
Testimony by an accomplice to a crime can’t be used to convict someone unless it’s corroborated by other evidence. The same holds true, under California law, for testimony by a jailhouse informant. But a state appeals court says testimony by an accomplice and informant can be used to corroborate each other.
