A’s starters Brett Anderson, Andrew Triggs making strides in rehab
Wednesday was a good day for some rehabbing A’s players, but there was no news about starter Trevor Cahill, who remains likely to go on the disabled list with an Achilles tendon problem.
“Again, it does not look good,” manager Bob Melvin said of Cahill, whose ankle was immobilized in a boot Wednesday. “We just have not officially made that decision.”
Starter Brett Anderson threw his first bullpen session since going on the DL with shoulder soreness on May 19, and he said everything felt great. He threw 20 pitches, all fastballs, and he said he’ll throw all his pitches his next time out, on Saturday.
